Please, Netflix, Give Us More Behind-the-Scenes Looks at Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, the latest adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, is great. No complaints. I would (and did) watch it more than once.

But after seeing two little minutes of footage of the cast recording their dialogue… Netflix. Please. We need more.

The puny two minutes Netflix shared seem to only be viewable on Twitter:

And, yes, if you haven’t yet watched Scott Pilgrim Takes Off in its entirety, then consider this a spoiler warning, and don’t watch the video OR keep reading. (Just go watch the show!)

We only get to see a few actors here: Alison Pill doing her endearingly dry Kim Pine thing; Chris Evans getting bro-y as Lucas Lee; Mary Elizabeth Winstead really getting into Ramona Flowers’ fight with Roxie Richter; and… Will Forte, playing a character who is just, like, the embodiment of spoilers where this story is concerned.

Only Forte really gets to talk outside of his role, and he has a delightful little bit about how getting to share character brain-space with Michael Cera makes him feel younger in a sort of vampire-like way. I may have become a Will Forte fan simply from watching this.

But we need more. We need to watch Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, and Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, and Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves, and the rest of the gang. Show us how Julie Powers (Aubrey Plaza) does that thing with her mouth!

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is now streaming on Netflix.
